Rama Nama : The Street light from Shiva to reach Shiva

                                     Sree Rama Jayam

Ramayana is not only a book or an epic but it is India herself , India is often referred as the mother of spirituality, where the spiritually qualified personalities from all over the world are attracted and the milk of knowledge will be served endlessly. India's biggest wealth is her vast Guru Parampara . There are thousands of persons carrying Guru thathwa  flourished in this sacred land because in inda,  Gurus never made their disciples their followers but they made their disciples "Themselves"

The story of Ramayana covers most of India's greatest teachings. The story of Rama and Sita  is  well known to everyone in Indian society irrespective of any religious beliefs . The fact is , most of us consider Ramayana as a historical story and throws unwanted debates on simple topics  such as the birth place of Rama , Why Rama killed Bali , how Rama died . Did he kill himself or some one else killed him .Apart from all these stories , very less are interested in the knowledge which Ramayana showers to the society .

If we watch Ramayana through the third eye of knowledge , we can see  Rama was never born , never lived , never died but "it" is always lived and living and some of them will realize Rama is the only one  living.

Sugar Coated Knowledge

An enlightened  mind asks this question . if our Aim is to realize the self , Why Valmeeki created all these stories ?

there comes the technique of "sugar coated medicine "

Thousands of years back ,  Veda Vyaasa tried to promote the light of knowledge through  Vedas . but people showed less interest in learning Vedas  and  found it is too  difficult to digest for common man . So he adapted the technique of "sugar coated medicine" . sugar coated medicine was used by physicians to give medicine to kids . kid will eat the medicine along with the sugar . even though the sugar doesn't  have any purpose , it attracts kids towards the medicine .

Just like that, Vyaasa  made a good pill with  with thrilling story of Mahabharatha with all worldly elements such as Love ,  Jealousy , Fight , Hatred , Humor and packed Bhagavath Geetha inside so that, more people tasted the sugars of mahabharatha story and some of them  got the medicine of geetha

Valmeeki also adapted same style while composing Ramayana . In place of Gita ,he put Yoga Vasishtam and Lakshmanopadesham and covered with worldly stories .

The Sweet word Rama

Someone asked what is the greatest knowledge which Ramayana gives to the society,

The greatest fire of knowledge within Ramayana is the word Rama

The Yogic Tradition of India always symbolized fire as the knowledge which destroys the ignorance. From Arunachalam jyothi in Thiruvannamalai and MakaraJyothi in Sabarimala to the lamp in front of an idol represents the light which destroys the ignorance. The word "Rama" itself  generates an inner  Fire.
Vedas say  Aum is the purest form of sound which can pull the mind towards its center . Ram sound contains the "Ra " kaaram and Aum Kaaram which gives additional fuel  to destroy your mind and concentrate on Aum . which is the ultimate knowdedge

Sahasranama thathulyam ramanama varanane :  Vishnu Sahasra Namam

Lord Siva advises Parvathi to chant Rama Namam which is equal to singing 1000 names. Puranas Say Lord Shiva always chants Rama Nama.

Thyagaraja Swami was one of the greatest composer lived in 18th Century   always describes the importance of this namam in his kruthi

Chakkani Raja in Kharaharapriya ..

mukkaṇṭi nōṭa celagē nāmamē tyāgaraja - ( What a name resounding in the tongue of Lord Siva )

Although karkkidakam is called Ramayana Month , it is preferred  to read Ramayana everyday . if you can't read Ramayana book , you can just do Rama nama japam which will help you to tie the mind so that it will go to a stage with no thoughts(chitha vrutthi  )

in short , Rama Nama is the sound  of the Shiva ( Soul ) . So seeking the  root of Rama  will lead you to Shiva which is the ultimate aim of every living objects in this world

at the feet of "Rama" Na
